MASTERs Recognized in Year-End MMA Coverage by Napoleon Blownapart
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alexandria, VA — Martial Arts for Social Transformation, Equity, and Rights (MASTERs) collaborated with the Irish MMA Youtuber Napoleon Blownapart through inclusion in his year-end MMA video, bringing international visibility to the organization’s athlete development and community-focused work.
The collaboration emerged from a conversation about potential sponsorship. Upon further discussion, the youtuber decided that rather than a paid placement to simply include the segment as part of the video’s broader coverage, reflecting shared values around athlete development, transparency, and long-term investment in combat sports.
“Independent recognition like this matters,. This visibility helps to translate attention into tangible support for athletes,” said Dr. Christopher Round, Executive Director of MASTERs. “We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate and to reach a broader audience outside traditional judo circles.”
The recommendation has driven new attention and support toward MASTERs’ mission of providing structured training, educational resources, and direct assistance to athletes pursuing high-level competition while remaining rooted in community development and good governance.
MASTERs operates in partnership with High Noon Judo in the Washington, DC region and supports athletes across youth, junior, senior, and veteran levels, with a particular focus on equity, transparency, and sustainable athlete development.
